At Sprout, we offer support, encouragement and expertise to anyone 16 – 25 who wants to run an environmental project.
The first step to take is getting in contact with us to arrange an initial meeting. Here we will talk over your idea, get to know one another and help to put in place a plan for how your project will progress.

Below are some suggestions of what to think about as you go about planning a project.
Generate Ideas
Start simple – think about what needs doing in your local area, and what differences you would like to see.
Carry out a survey of local residents. What do people feel they need?
Find out if anyone is already doing it!
Develop your idea and create a plan
Is it possible? What resources would you need to carry out your project?
(Remember – we’re here to help you do this!)
Research
Where will you get your equipment and tools?
What do you need to know?
What skills do you need? Can we help you find some training?
Planning
What timescale will the project cover?
What are the goals you want to achieve?
Put your plan into action
Take the first steps – book some rooms, buy some kit, get out into the fresh air!
Make sure you’re on track – are you achieving what you set out to?
Ending the project
Evaluate: Have you achieved the goals you wanted to?
Have we been helpful?
Next Steps
Remember to include the project on your CV. It’ll show great leadership skills and dedication to your beliefs.
What’s the future for the project? If it’s been a success, we can help you find extra funding to keep it running.
Do you want to move on to bigger things? Discuss with your project assistant how to build on your experiences.
