Six new projects have been set up by young people this month, which are:
- Cut Down Your Electrical Energy: The project will involve how much electricity is consumed at home by people and carrying out awareness raising workshops on how to reduce electricity consumption and the effect on the environment and climate change.
- EnviroMural: To produce a mural on a wall in the local community to highlight the local environmental message such as recycling, re-use and save our planet.
- Save Your Globe and Home: To organise a exhibition and workshops about environmental issues. This project will make people aware of local and global environmental issues.
- Share Your Transport: To carry out research on how people travel for work, for leisure and if they car share. There will be a blog developed and workshops on raising awareness of car share, cycling, walking and public transport etc.
- Making Your Community and Home Greener: This project will look at how to save energy by doing energy audits for the local community. To carry out workshops for young people and the local community for them to become aware of how to become more energy efficient.
- Ace Recycling: The project will involve organising workshops and an event to make people from the ethnic community and young people more aware of how and what can be recycled in the City of Nottingham and local neighbourhood.
